Linden Lake, Fort Collins, Colorado. Create a space to fit the clients fun. funky and modern style. Warm woods, dark greens, whites and blacks will set the tone for the entire project.

Brinkman Office, Denver, Colorado. The goal was to create an office space inspired by the modern vibe of downtown Denver but keep warm rustic wood to create an inviting space. The sophisticated design also embraces construction with exposed mechanical, open ceilings and strong wood columns throughout. Interior glazing and open office spaces were important to ensure every person working and visiting the space could enjoy the sweeping views of downtown and the mountains beyond.

All projects shown below are a few highlights from my previous work experience with The Neenan Company

Colorado Early College, Fort Collins Colorado.  IIDA BEST AWARD WINNER, LEARNING SPACE 2017. The challenge was to take an existing warehouse, over 90,000 SF and transform it into a learning environment.  The schools mission statement inspired me to create a concept based on the rings of a tree.  The final design utilized existing exposed features and is complemented with bold colors and blues.  The design brings a level of sophistication and class for a school desiring a college atmosphere.  Custom wallcoverings, clouds, burnished concrete, skylights and a unique art application utilizing existing lights bring the environment to life.

Washingtons Music Venue, Fort Collins, Colorado.  This renovation and addition to a historic building in Fort Collins, Colorado was in collaboration with the Bohemian Foundation.  The venue encompasses original artifacts from the existing bar, wood floors and refurbished sandstone to create a unique sound in the venue.  The lobby addition continues with the existing elements but also was designed with two bars, an artist greet location, ticket office and lower lobby for waiting.  Accents of copper, grays, white accents and deep purple ceilings give the venue some funk while continuing to pay tribute to the late 1800's stone building.  This music venue will become an intimate location for artists around the world to play starting in 2018.

Photos taken were during construction.

North Valley and Anythink Library, Mapleton School District, Thornton, CO.  The goal of this project was to create an alterative high school that welcomed students and motivated them to have ownership in their school.  This project also developed into a synergy between the school and an Anythink library.  The interior, glass, garage door opens up providing flexible space for either group on evenings, weekends and in summer. Exposed ceilings, ductwork, acoustic panels, solatubes, writable glass, and built in benches provide an interesting environment with unique spaces for students to learn.  The hall becomes a large presentation area, work space and eat in kitchen for use throughout the day.  The library houses a large tree finished with bright green tile, pebbles and a tree canopy created with translucent panels and accent lights.  The space is perfect for kids and community members of all ages.
